Lincoln is an All-American City and a great place to live.In 2006 the National Civic League designated Lincoln as an All-American City.It was the only California city to be named that year and one of only 10 total cities.Located in the Sacramento metropolitan area, Lincoln was the fastest growing city in the United States between 2000 and 2010. Since 2010 population growth has slowed to a normal pace. The previous rapid population growthbrought a lot of new neighborhoods, shopping, and restaurants to the city of Lincoln.At the heart of this town is a charming and historic downtown area.Lincoln was laid out in 1859 by Theodore Judah along the proposed line of the California Central Railroad.The name “Lincoln” was chosen in honor of Charles Lincoln Wilson who was one of the organizers and directors of the Central California Railroad.

Lincoln is located in the Mediterranean climate of the lovely Sacramento Valley. This climate is great for people to get out and enjoy the outdoors.Lincoln has 12 developed parks and 1 regional park plus an off-leash dog park for animal lovers.Lincoln also has a number of bike paths and walking trails throughout the town.For golf enthusiasts Lincoln has four public golf courses.Lincoln also has a newer public library that is very nice and it hosts many community activities for all ages throughout the year.
Lincoln’s historic downtown is known for its friendly merchants and small town charm.There are several shopping venues, services, and dining choices to indulge in for a day on the town.Downtown also hosts a weekly Farmer’s Market during the summer and annual 4th of July and Christmas parades.Two other large annual events in Lincoln are Feats of Clay and the Holy Ghost Festival.Lincoln is located on beds of clay and has become home to a national art completion called Feats of Clay.Every May Lincoln also hosts a Portuguese festival called the Holy Ghost Festival to highlight the cultural heritage of the local Portuguese population.
Lincoln is home to theThunder Valley Casino & Resort, which is the first large-scale casino in the greater Sacramento area.Besides having gambling facilities Thunder Valley also hosts many social activities, a luxurious spa, and A-List concerts throughout the year.

This 3,000 acre neighborhood is located on the southern most portion of Lincoln and is mostly surrounded by open greenbelt/wetland areas.The focus of designing Twelve Bridges was to create a great place to raise a family offer a scenic atmosphere.Approximately half of the land in Twelve Bridges is slotted to remain open space.
Lincoln Crossing:
This is a master planned neighborhood with 2,901 homes centered around a community clubhouse.The clubhouse facility has a gym, 2 pools (one for families and a lap pool),pool play area, game room and event room with kitchen for neighborhood events or offered to rent for residents.
Sun City Lincoln Hills:
This is Lincoln’s largest neighborhood at approximately 6,800 homes located within this 55 and older community.Sun City in Lincoln Hills offers 40 different single-story home plans ranging from 1,020 square feet up to 3,068 square feet and is surrounded by 500 acres of open space, wet lands, and oak-woodland.This community has two 18-hole championship golf courses, 2 recreation centers, a sports complex, 27 miles of trails, and numerous clubs and activities to keep you active and busy.
